Telling a Story: Don't Shout

Most of the time, I shoot on intuition -- I see the scene in front of me, and if it strikes me, I shoot. I don't always see the stories until I get back home and I can look over the results of my work.

This time, I saw it from the moment I looked through the viewfinder.

Strange enough, I keep looking at the scene in the background... For my eyes, that's the real subject. You missed a great scene there.

I disagree. The people on the far dock are all looking at something (which I know, but isn't important to the photo, so I won't share). The people on the front dock are very obviously all looking at something else. The story is the combination of the two.

No matter how you slice it, someone is missing something...and maybe you got the point after all, considering your comments.

I like this picture even more. Thanks! :)
