Naptime

Not one of my favorite pictures, but it was one of those "can't pass it up" shots.

I wish I could try it again though. I like the angled horizon, but I want to experiment with different depths of field. What I REALLY wish I had done was shoot it just like this, but with a small aperture so that the people way in the back were in focus, and the sleepy girl in the front was out of focus. I think that would look interesting...I could fake it with Photoshop, but I don't like faking things like that.

What I would have liked to see, is this girl in focus, but smaller (zoom out) and only grass around her. THAT would have been fantastic!

Yeah, that would have worked too...the problem was I didn't want to get so close that I disturbed her; I was pretty close already.

Anyway, I really really wish I had taken more time with this shot! It had so much potential, but I did not feel comfortable wasting time setting up for it. It's sad because I will probably never catch someone in this pose again! What a difference a year of shooting makes, right? I look at this picture and see it as a learning experience....

Funny picture. I agree with the zooming out and focusing only on her. but I would keep the people in the back to keep the DOF.

The angled horizon is a bit too much of the good stuff.
