at the cafe

© Guido Steenkamp

Vienna December 2006

This picture does not have a deeper meaning, i just like it because it's typical for my regular trips to Vienna. Sitting in a cafe, drinking coffee and taking pictures of foreigners. This image was done with my old M6. I'am still using both, analog and digital gear. I find it hard to make the decision between the joy of using 'a real camera' and the high res pics that the 5D produces. Have fun, Guido

Why decide? If you have two real cameras that take pictures you like, use them both. But don't pretend only one is a camera.

@conglom: Of course the digital one is a good camera, too. By saying 'real camera', i meant that the haptic of a analog camera is different as well as the results. Grain coming from the film is nice while noise is ugly in digital pictures. I'am sorry if this was incomprehensible, english is not my native language... ;-) Guido

I understand the dilemma...
and I actually think its can be a good idea to make a choice; sometimes it can get really tiring to have to decide every time you leave the house.

Choose for the real camera and send me the 5D! Judging from your name, I believe I can even come to pick it up :-)
