First (decent) transfer

OK, here's my first try. Also, may I introduce my new friend, the scanner?

Here's a second image, done before I knew what I was doing, that I still kind of like. However, I did tweak this in Photoshop a bit to get it like this...making this a digital photo, printed using an analog method, brought back into digital format, and manipulated again. I should try an inkjet transfer of this image just for kicks.

You'll be probably very happy to learn that I found another way to successfully transfer images. It is done in the same fashion however, I replaced the mod podge with Gesso acrylic. since the Gesso is not a glue like the mod it is much easier to peel off the paper, in fact you don't even need to use water, maybe just a drop.
it is also much faster as the transfer is done after just a few seconds.
Tomorrow I'm going to try some Gloss Gel medium. I'll keep you posted.

Ha -- that's funny because I posted my pictures on the dpreview forum and someone asked "Have you tried using Gesso?"

Of course, I had no idea what Gesso was...so I'm very curious to see how it works out.
